Independently plan and implement academic affairs operations including faculty support, curriculum management and training.
Job-Specific ResponsibilitiesCurriculum and Pedagogy Manager (CPM) for General Chemistry courses plays an essential role supporting the General Chemistry courses (LPS A and PS11) offered by the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology (CCB), which are large and logistically complex introductory and foundational courses primarily taken by first-years and sophomores. The position works closely with the faculty course heads to develop and deliver innovative curricula and course materials, and to organize and manage a team of graduate and undergraduate teaching staff.
The Curriculum and Course Manager will report to CCB’s Director of Undergraduate Studies and Assistant Director of Undergraduate Studies and work collegially with the rest of the undergraduate teaching staff.

- Workswith Director of Laboratory Instructional Programstoupdatelabsandoptimizeexperiments

Staff; - Experiments with and implements new pedagogical approaches.
- Workswiththe Course Head Instructor (s) todevelopstudentsassessmentsincludingin-class assignments, problem sets, midterms, and final exams;
- Creates practiceexamsand practice exam answer keys;
- Creates answer keys for problem sets, and exams, contributes to grading rubrics;
- In addition to their primary course responsibilities,theCPMmay occasionallyprovideinstructional support and contribute to broader course development needs asrequiredto ensure student success.
- Supervises the Head Administration TFintheworktocreate,manageandupdatecourse Canvas site: posts syllabus, assignments, assessments, other course materials;
- Supervises the Head Lab TFintheworktocoordinate Labcomponentwith Teaching Lab Staff: requests necessary lab materials, organizes lab run-throughs with teaching staff, provides hands-on help whenever needed;
- Answersstudentandteachingstaffemails.
- Updatespositiondescriptions,solicits applications,andinterviewscandidatesfor
Teaching Assistants (TAs), Teaching Fellows (TFs), Course Assistants (CAs), and Peer Study Leaders; - Runstrainingsessionsfor
TAs/TFs,CAsand Peer Study Leaders ;coordinates with
BOK Center for anyadditionalteaching training and feedback; - Together with Head Teaching Staff ,schedules,plans,andrunsweeklystaffmeetings;
- Addressesandresolvesteachingstaffconcerns/conflicts/performance issues.
- Hostsweeklyofficehours;
- Meets with students1:1;
- Organizes and provides extra help to struggling students;
- Supervises the Head Administration TF in the work to coordinate the accommodation requests from the Disability Access Office;
