Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor in Statistics ()
Job DescriptionCandidates with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
Linear Algebra, Calculus, Statistics and Probability, Regression Analysis, Multivariate Analysis, Categorical Data Analysis, Optimization, Time Series Analysis, Survival Analysis, Actuarial mathematics, Data Mining and Bayesian Statistics are welcome. Candidates are also expected to teach post graduate student courses including but not limited to Convex Optimization, Probability Theory, Generalized Linear Model and extra.
Candidates should have a PhD degree in a related discipline. Successful candidates are required to demonstrate an ability to undertake independent research leading to impactful outcomes, such as publication in high-quality, internationally recognized, indexed journals and other types of scholarly work as appropriate & recognized by their disciplines. Meanwhile, they are also expected to have a commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate or postgraduate levels.
Academic rank will be determined in accordance with successful candidate’s experience and accomplishments.
Commencing salaries will be commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience. Fringe benefits include housing allowance, leave and social insurance. Appointments to these positions will initially be made on a fixed-term contract with mutual agreement.
