About the Role:We are seeking a motivated professional to join our US Corporate Communications team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in designing and delivering events that showcase BioNTech’s innovations, culture, and strategic priorities. Your work will span end-to-end event management, including concept development, logistics coordination, stakeholder and speaker support, and on-site execution. You will contribute to creating memorable, mission-driven experiences that strengthen internal engagement, support external relationships, and position BioNTech as an emerging oncology leader in the US.
Functionally, you will also report to the Associate Director of Global Corporate Events based at our headquarters in Germany. This ensures close alignment with global event strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute corporate events in the US ranging from internal leadership meetings and town halls to annual celebrations and high-profile external events.
- Develop event concepts and formats aligned with strategic communication objectives and corporate priorities; scale up recurring events.
- Manage timelines, budgets, vendors, and agency partners to ensure seamless and cost-effective delivery.
- Coordinate event logistics such as venue selection, technical set-up, and program design.
- Prepare, brief, and support executives, speakers, and key stakeholders for professional and impactful event presence.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including Medical Affairs, Commercial, HR, IT, and R&D to ensure content coherence and brand alignment.
- Oversee on-site execution to deliver an exceptional attendee experience while promptly problem solving when needed.
- Track event outcomes, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement and best practice development.
- 5 plus years of proven experience as an Event Manager in a corporate or agency environment.
- Excellent communication skills with proficiency in German considered an asset.
- Strong relationship-building abilities across all organizational levels.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, accountable team-player with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft 365; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Veeva Events or Spot Me/Omoni is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industry is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to six times per year.
US based candidates expected Pay Range: $115,100 - $140,000/year + benefits, annual bonus & equity (bonus and equity is variable and dependent on company and individual performance). Compensation for the role will depend on several factors, including responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
