What impact you will make:

The Corporate Venture Capital team invests in early- and growth-stage companies that are strategically relevant to the company’s core and emerging businesses. The team partners with startups and internal business units to create long-term value through investment, commercial partnerships, and technology collaboration.

What you will do:

As a Venture Capital Intern, you will work closely with the CVC investment team to support market research, deal sourcing, and due diligence in our key focus areas. This is a high-learning, high-exposure role designed for students who are passionate about technology, startups, and investing, and who are excited to contribute tangible work products during a defined internship period.

  • Research markets, technologies, and competitive landscapes; build concise sector briefs and opportunity maps.
  • Assist in identifying and screening new investment opportunities from inbound and outbound sources.
  • Support due diligence by gathering data, conducting desk research, and helping with basic financial and business model analysis.
  • Prepare internal deliverables such as company one-pagers, memo sections, and presentation slides for team discussions.
  • Help maintain the deal pipeline and portfolio tracking tools with accurate, up-to-date information.
  • Contribute to portfolio and community initiatives, including events and knowledge-sharing sessions, as needed.
  • Work on a core project (e.g., thesis deep dive, sector framework, or internal tooling prototype) that will be scoped at the start of the internship and presented to the team at the end.

What you will bring (Basic Qualifications):

  • Current student in an MBA program with strong academic performance.
  • Minimum of 3.0 cumulative GPA out of 4.0 scale.
  • Ability to commit to the full duration of the internship and work in a hybrid (onsite/remote) environment in Cambridge.

What will make you stand out:

  • Strong analytical and research skills; comfortable working with qualitative and quantitative information.
  • Clear, structured communication and writing skills; ability to create polished slides and documents.
  • Demonstrated interest in venture capital, startups, or innovation (e.g., prior internship, campus involvement, personal projects, or self-directed learning).
  • Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides) and willingness to learn new tools as needed.
  • Prior internship or project experience in investing, consulting, banking, technology, product, or data-focused roles.
  • Sector familiarity in areas aligned with the company’s strategy (e.g., energy & climate, robotics, power electronics, or other specified verticals).
  • Technical background (e.g., CS, engineering, energy) or strong comfort engaging with technical products and teams.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Hands‑on exposure to the venture investment process, from thesis work to sourcing and diligence.
  • Experience applying research and analytical skills to real companies, markets, and strategic questions.
  • Insight into how a corporate venture capital unit partners with internal stakeholders and startups.
  • A tangible project deliverable (e.g., sector thesis, sourcing tool, or framework) that you can discuss in future roles and interviews.
