Our Client is seeking a Supplier Partnerships Manager to join their Supplier Partnerships team in the United States. Our Client operates the largest online marketplace for life science lab supplies, serving as a centralized hub for scientists, lab managers, and procurement leaders. The platform streamlines procurement by enabling users to compare products, identify alternatives, track deliveries, and communicate order status in real time.

The Supplier Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies focused on revenue and margin growth for assigned suppliers. The ideal candidate brings experience working with life science R&D distributors and/or manufacturers

This role requires clear communication of strategies internally to gain commercial and legal alignment from key stakeholders. Success depends on strong cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Merchandising, Product, Operations, Legal, and Finance teams.
The Supplier Partnerships Manager will prospect, pitch, and close strategic supplier partnerships, negotiate contract terms aligned with long-term supplier strategy, and manage supplier performance to maximize revenue and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities- Own the supplier contracting process, including requirements development, strategy definition, negotiations, implementation, and ROI management
- Collaborate closely with Catalog, Operations, Legal, Customer Support, and Finance teams to address business needs and challenges
- Develop and execute account and territory plans
- Own and achieve sales targets for net-new suppliers, meeting GMV and revenue goals
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with assigned suppliers
- Learn and effectively position Our Client's marketplace solutions
- Engage existing and prospective suppliers to drive opportunities from prospecting through close
- Prepare and deliver solution demonstrations to senior supplier stakeholders
- Strategically coordinate internal and external resources throughout the sales process
- Evaluate supplier performance, product mix, and market growth opportunities to maximize revenue
- 3+ years of experience in life sciences or healthcare category management, distribution sales, inside sales, or manufacturer sales
- Strong knowledge of supplier and distributor partnerships
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a sales funnel using CRM systems
- Persistence, strong work ethic, and self-driven motivation
- Ability to leverage data and analytics to support sales strategy
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, and PowerPoint)
- Life science R&D industry experience preferred
- Proven ability to manage sales opportunities from prospecting to close
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
- Professional confidence when engaging decision-makers
- Ability to manage multiple sales opportunities simultaneously
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate strategic vision into tactical execution
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills (virtual and in-person)
- Interest in working within a high-growth technology startup environment
- Consultative selling approach with suppliers
- Openness to feedback and continuous learning
- Bachelor's degree in science, business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
