Position: Administrative Assistant & New Student Associate

Arthur Murray has transcended dancing since 1912. Through the years, dance has become popular not only through movies, but recently with TV shows such as “Dancing with the Stars,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and “America’s Got Talent.” Not to mention social media and You Tube. Today, our company continues to grow and modernize the art of dancing – from the Foxtrot and Waltz, Rock Swing & Hustle, the passionate Tango, and to the recent trend of Latin dances such as salsa, bachata, and merengue.

The Arthur Murray Dance Studio of Cambridge is seeking a charismatic individual to support the executives and studio in their day-to-day responsibilities while demonstrating an ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively. This role combines back‑end studio operations with front‑of‑house new‑student management & sales, where you will help enroll new students in their foundation program and get them off to a great start in the studio.

Student Associate Responsibilities
  • Front‑end sales to enroll new students in their foundation program.
  • Handle inquiry phone calls & correspondence to schedule new students.
  • Conduct new‑student information chats and enrollments to support student development and involvement.
  • Manage team members with new‑student operations to ensure a high‑quality experience.
Administrative Responsibilities
  • Maintain studio schedule and accurate student records.
  • Track studio expenditures and operate within assigned budgets.
  • Communicate in a timely and engaging manner with students via phone calls, email, & text.
  • Create and update social media content, advertisements, and weekly newsletters.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with students and clients.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and maintain studio performance reports.
Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sales skills.
  • Team management & organizational ability.
  • Computer skills – MS Office, Google Workspace, and Canva.
  • Potential promotion to Office Manager role.
Job Type & Hours

Full Time:
Monday to Friday (12:30 pm‑9:30 pm). Occasional weekend events.

Pay Range

$40,000‑$54,000 (depends on experience).
