Seasonal Delivery Petroleum Driver

Overview

This seasonal position requires an individual to safely drive a petroleum delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, customer Service and Employee Teamwork. Making deliveries in all types of weather and conditions. Overtime is possible in the heating season.

• Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.
• Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.
• Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
• Assists with sales initiatives.
• Performs responsibilities in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
• Ensures all DOT requirements are met at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to yard and plant maintenance or dock work.

• Minimum 2-year CDL license with Haz Mat/Tanker combination endorsement (X endorsement).
• Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take directions from plant manager.

• Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local District Manager.
• Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
• This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to our customer locations.
• Positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Team-Work.
• Prior gas delivery experience helpful.
• CDL Hazmat, tanker, and air brakes endorsements required.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather and driving conditions.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with existing and potential customers.
• Flexibility to work outside of basic job description.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Desire to succeed and advance in a team environment.
