Job Description
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Assist the operator / assistant operator of a machine center with the quality of all products.
- Comply with all required plant and OSHA rules.
- Work together in a team environment in a safe, efficient and effective manner to ensure the production of a quality product.
- Must comply and support all applicable GMPs, Site Security, and Food Packaging Defense requirements that are referenced in the facilities GFSI food packaging safety program.
- Ensure safety, quality of product produced, all reports and or data collection, and effective operation of the machine center.
- Assist the machine center as needed to maximize the setup and operation of the machine center in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned by any member of management.
- Ability to read and interpret written documents i.e. safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (standard and metric), using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to read a standard and metric tape measure.
- Regular work near moving mechanical parts.
- Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and temperature variations.
