In this exciting role, the Automotive Assistant Sales Manager is a highly driven assistant sales manager to the sales manager with day-to-day running of our store. The assistant sales manager’s responsibilities include developing strategies to improve sales, effectively handling customer complaints, and assisting with the recruitment of sales staff. You should also be able to delegate tasks to the sales staff in the absence of the sales manager.
To be successful as an assistant sales manager, you should demonstrate exceptional leadership skills and ensure that sales staff comply with company policies and guidelines. Ultimately, a top-performing assistant sales manager should be able to achieve excellent customer service at all times.

The Automotive Assistant Sales Manager/Team Leader must consistently and profitably meet vehicle sales quotas through expert management and leadership of the sales team and by filling in front end positions when necessary, including desking, calling in deals, contracting customers and performing the finance role when neededSelling and achieving individual targetsAssist with marketing of dealership inventoryManage, train and direct a team of Sales ProfessionalsMotivate the team through our company’s vision and direction to encompass our mission statementCommunicate clear expectations and hold team accountable to achieve all brand, performance and behavior standards - Drive the company’s brand loyalty through demonstrating sales leadership, coaching and connecting with the customer experienceManage the execution of the current sales process to deliver a premium customer experienceMaintain the highest degree of customer satisfaction with the ability to handle all customer interaction with an award-winning smile and a positive attitudeLead continuous improvement efforts that support annual sales goals and cost control - Communicate and plan with General Manager to arrive at daily/monthly sales goalsLearn to overcome objections; ask for the sale; negotiate price; complete sales or purchase agreement; explain and offer warranties service and financeClosing deals and monitoring team deal closingsEncourage and motivate Sales Professionals daily to maintain high moraleBe able to interpret reporting and manage department by the numbersSupporting administrative functions and acts as back-up for finance manager when neededPerforms other duties as assignedWhat are the must-haves…
