Toromont Cat is looking for a Shop Helpers to join our team! This position is responsible for supporting our branch site location with the work flow by keeping all shop areas organized and safe in order to streamline customer orders in an accurate and timely manner. The Shop Helper is intended to assist Shop Technicians and Supervisors in an effort to maximize the productivity and efficiency.

Demonstrate safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors at all times, in support of Toromont’s Health and Safety Policies, Programs and initiativesAssist Shop Technicians and Supervisors as directed in support of the business’ needsTrack, store and maintain all required tooling required to ensure safe tool operationBe responsible for the calibration of the tools, making sure to respect the expiry date parametersLocate and clean equipment as required including moving the equipment to end locations before and after repairs are madeValidate component lists and prepare for pick up by technicians or shipping via carrierMaintain shop and surrounding work area cleanlinessSupport Contamination Control efforts by maintaining bulk oil, collection sites and solvent stands according to ISO standardsEnsure waste is segregated according to established policiesClean, typhoon/steam wash and buff parts as directed to assist Technicians with repairsMay occasionally help technicians on the road with their tasksMust-haves for this role:
Completed high school OR have at least 3 years in a similar workshop support functionValid G Driver’s LicenseAbility to lift up to 30 - 50lbsComfortable working in a garage style environment, mechanical inclinationAbout Toromont Cat
