Job Profile
The City of Cambridge is seeking an experienced Planning Technician to join the Planning Services Division within the Planning and Growth Department. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting planning initiatives, providing technical expertise, and contributing to the effective delivery of development services. The following duties will apply:
What you will be doing
Education
Two-year College Diploma in Planning or Similar
Experience and Knowledge
1-2 years related Planning experience. Possession of a current Certified Planning Technician designation or eligible for Registered Professional Planner along with a valid Drivers’ License is required.
Hours of Work
The current regular hours of work are in accordance with the collective agreement, however, currently are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 pm., Monday to Friday; some evening hours are required

Proof of your current and valid certificate(s) and/or educational qualifications.Valid G driver's license.
Worker Health and Safety Awareness Training certificate from the Ministry of Labour. (may be obtained post offer)
Your compensation
This position is within Grade 7 of the inside workers union Salary Schedule and has an annual salary range of $72,582 to $77,132 (2026 rates). We offer a comprehensive benefit package and are an Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System (OMERS) employer
