As an Intermediate Geotechnical Engineer , you’ll play a key role in delivering geotechnical solutions that shape the safety, resilience, and longevity of infrastructure across Ontario. You’ll collaborate with technical specialists, conduct subsurface investigations, interpret geotechnical data, and support design and construction monitoring on diverse projects across transportation, infrastructure, buildings, and land development.
Your Impact Lead and participate in field programs including borehole drilling, test pitting, in‑situ testing, instrumentation installation, and construction monitoring.
Analyze geotechnical and geological data to develop recommendations for foundations, retaining structures, earthworks, pavements, and slope stability.
Prepare clear, defensible technical reports including geotechnical investigations, design briefs, and construction phase documentation.
Provide geotechnical input to multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the development of innovative, data‑driven solutions.
Support junior staff through coaching on field methods, analysis techniques, and safety expectations.
Build strong client relationships through responsive communication and delivery of reliable engineering advice.
Contribute to quality assurance processes, project coordination, and continuous improvement in geotechnical practices.
The Skills That Set You Apart Several years of experience in geotechnical engineering, consulting, or applied subsurface investigation.
Degree in Geological, Geotechnical, Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
Experience interpreting soil and rock conditions, geotechnical laboratory data, and construction requirements.
Familiarity with software/tools such as gINT, Geo Studio, Settle3, or similar geotechnical platforms.
Comfortable working in the field and participating in investigations in varied environments.
Strong initiative, curiosity, and a commitment to delivering work that supports safe, resilient infrastructure.
Eligibility for or registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario is an asset but not required

Compensation AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT:
$77,400 – $102,500
MB & ON:
$70,600 – $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:
$69,900 – $92,900
