Position Summary:

You are a self described problem solver with meticulous attention to detail and process. You will be responsible for the creation of electrical and control systems as well as performing site commission of StrongPoint solutions. You will attend service calls as required, and troubleshoot electrical and control systems, at times working in conjunction with internal and external customers to implement solutions.

Previous experience with factory automation solutions is essential.

Responsibilities:

Installation, and troubleshooting of PLC hardware and software.

Assist in the implementation, upgrading and debugging of PLC software applications and robotic applications.

Test and troubleshoot variable speed AC drive systems.

Perform various troubleshooting and implementation of electrical equipment and circuits.

Interpret schematic diagrams and construct related circuits for automation equipment control applications.

Commissioning of equipment on site: including PLC, Robotics, HMI’s and other control components.

Set-up and diagnostics of industrial networks:
Control Net, Device Net and Ether Net.

Training of on-site personnel.

Skill Requirements:

A College Diploma in Electrical Technology or University Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in PLC and Fanuc robotics.

Extensive PLC troubleshooting skills.

In-depth knowledge of Allen Bradley – Rockwell Software: RSLogix 5, 500, 5000 and RSView

Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills.
