We’re looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and deadline-driven Assistant Payroll Coordinator to join our dynamic team! In this key role, you’ll ensure employees across the company are paid accurately and on time—every time. Your expertise and efficiency will help support a smooth payroll process while maintaining compliance and employee trust.

Location:

Eagle Street North, Cambridge, ON

Hours:

Monday to Friday am to pm with occasional evenings around month-end.

Compensation: $,-$, per year

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Process timely and accurate bi-weekly payroll for hourly, salary and commission employees for multi companies, approximately employees
  • Process month-end commission and bonuses for commissioned Employees and Department/Store Managers
  • Maintain and track bi-monthly draws for all sales staff
  • Maintain and track all vacation payouts and time allotments
  • Process employee Time & Attendance data from the PBS timeclock and reconcile variances
  • Maintain daily hours for all hourly staff, ensuring daily punch ins and out are correct in a timely manner
  • Calculate and reconcile all flat rate hours for technicians
  • Provide administrative support to employees regarding their payroll, vacation, etc.
  • Work closely with the HR Manager in administrating payroll requirements
  • Perform all year end related tasks and reconciliations (T’s)
  • Maintain spreadsheets and required tracking for all absences and vacations
  • What You Bring to the Table:

  • University Degree or College Diploma in Business or Communications is considered an asset
  • PCP Designation consider an asset
  • Minimum years experience in payroll administration position
  • Knowledge and understanding of a draw system
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Video Conferencing Platforms
  • Experience in the Automotive industry is considered an asset
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing demands and changing needs
  • Extremely strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to “wear multiple hats”
  • Self-initiative and proactive
