The role of the Part-Time Educational Services Specialist is to deliver educational services product & service portfolio information to external and internal customers while applying knowledge of educational methodology, clinical experience, and specific simulation needs of the client. This delivery should further the development & improvement of the clients’ capability to deliver high quality medical training intended to help save lives.

• Evaluates client educational goals and training requirements.
• Identifies gaps in skills, curriculum, and instructional resources.

• Demonstrates strong knowledge of the Laerdal Education Services portfolio, including economic, clinical, and educational benefits.
• Uses product expertise to match the right solutions to customer needs.

• Advises clients on appropriate products, services, and programs to enhance their training capabilities.
• Tailors recommendations to the developmental stage and goals of each client.

• Applies product knowledge to support client development through customized and standard training.
• Contributes to curricular planning, courseware utilization (including Sim Store), training plans, lesson plans, and specialized training materials.

• Follows organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintains proficiency in required systems such as Salesforce.

• Ideal candidate must reside in Alberta or Vancouver, Canada
• BS or equivalent in a medical discipline &/or,
• BA or equivalent in teaching & education.
• 3-5 years’ experience in clinical practice or teaching.
• Experience with Laerdal’s high fidelity simulators.
• Experience in/with the following areas is highly desirable:
  Clinical education and/or healthcare environments, license and/or certification in a recognized standard such as NREMT or RN
• Medical computer or simulation-based training

Salary Range: $550 CAD daily rate, $300 CAD daily rate for training

The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, but not limited to; the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, location, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc.
