Registered Nurse - Roston, Short break Home

Registered Nurse role for a two‑bedded short‑break home in Roston (Camborne). This is a permanent, full‑time position (37.5 hours per week) with a band 5 salary of £31,049–£37,796 per annum.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assist the Ofsted Registered Manager in partnership with families and health professionals to provide a tailored care package for children and young people with complex health needs.
• Deliver training and support to staff across the team.
• Maintain responsibility for a designated caseload of children at Roston.
• Lead shifts, working alongside skilled support staff.
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, such as the Children Act 1989/2004.

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Current professional registration with the NMC.
• Professional qualification such as RNLD, RSCN, Child Branch, RGN or RMN.
• Evidence of CPD and clinical skills including enteral feeding, medication administration and care of sick children.
• Post‑registration experience caring for children with complex health needs or learning disability.
• Experience coordinating and managing patient care in a multidisciplinary and/or multi‑agency setting.

Desirable:

• Relevant degree or study in progress.
• Teaching or training qualification.
• Experience in residential short‑break provision.
• Experience in behavioural support plans.
• Excellent experience caring for children with challenging behaviour.
