Trainee Accountant

Cantello Tayler Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client based in Camberley, Surrey, for an excellent opportunity for a Trainee Accountant Apprentice to join a progressive and growing accountancy practice.

This role offers full support towards studying the AAT qualification, alongside hands-on experience across a broad range of accounting and finance duties.

Ideal for a school leaver or early-career candidate looking to build a long-term career in accountancy.

Office based, Full Time - 37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri, 9.00am-5.30pm)

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping to trial balance
Preparing VAT returns and balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
Supporting payroll processing and personal tax returns
Assisting with audits
Helping to document and improve systems and procedures
General accounting and finance support as required

Candidate Requirements

GCSE Maths and English (Grade 6 or above preferred)
A Levels preferred (including Mathematics)
Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Motivated, proactive and keen to learn
Able to work accurately to deadlines

Training & Progression

Formal AAT apprenticeship provided
Opportunity to progress to ACA or ACCA qualification
Broad exposure to practice and industry-style work
