Location: District Wide
Salary: Half day is 3.5 hours or less and pay is $100.00. Full day is more than 3.5 hours up to 7.0 hours and pay is $180.00.

Camas School District is recruiting for Substitute Teachers. Substitute positions are a great way to support student learning and participate in the educational environment. We are looking for highly motivated candidates who care about the students and their education.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and instructional activities left by the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior in accordance with school policies and procedures.
- Provide a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and respect.
- Take attendance and maintain accurate records of student activity.
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, and recess (as needed).
- Leave a detailed report for the returning teacher outlining classroom activities and any issues encountered.
- Adapt to different classrooms, grade levels, and subject areas as needed.
- Washington State Teaching Certificate.
- Must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- Experience working with school aged children, preferably in an educational setting.
- Demonstrated rapport with students and teachers.
- Must be flexible and do additional duties as needed to support the educational environment.
- Complete online safety trainings prior to hire and annually for continued employment.

Regular reliable attendance, follow direction, and solicit feedback.
School Employee Benefit Board (SEBB) Eligibility determination:
All eligibility determinations are based on rules in Chapters 182-30 and 182-31 of the Washington Administrative Code (WAC). Substitutes can become benefit eligible after 2 consecutive years of working 630 hours or more, and be anticipated to work 630 hours going forward. SEBB benefits include medical, vision, dental, long-term disability and life insurance. Supplemental coverages are also available.
Retirement Eligibility determination:
In order to be eligible for retirement as a substitute, the minimum eligibility requirement for TRS retirement plan must work at least 5 months of 70 or more hours of compensated employment for 1 school year to be eligible for Washington State Retirement. It is the employee's responsibility to monitor and track compensated employment hours for eligibility.
