Stock Associate

Position Overview

The Stock Associate is responsible for receiving, unpacking, and preparing merchandise for the sales floor. They ensure the organization, maintenance, and cleanliness of the stock room.

• First impressions:
  Adhere to the dress code and create a positive first impression.
• Store standards:
  Maintain a sparkling clean and organized environment on the sales floor and in the stock room.
• Shipment management:
  Notify management of any shipment discrepancies and missed markdowns.
• Merchandise handling:
  Sensor, steam, fold, and hang merchandise as needed.
• Stock organization:
  Bring new goods to the sales floor and replenish merchandise from the stock room.
• Operations:
  Execute transfers, RTVs (Return to Vendor), manage damages, and handle customer charge sends.
• Stock room maintenance:
  Ensure the stock room is organized, clean, and merchandise is floor-ready at all times.
• Task completion:
  Complete all duties as assigned by management.
• Punctuality:
  Be punctual and adhere to the designated work schedule.
• Teamwork:
  Work well with peers and management to accomplish duties.
• Policy adherence:
  Follow GUESS policies and procedures 100%.
• Housekeeping:
  Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties.
• Meetings and functions:
  Participate in and attend all store meetings and other related functions.
• Positive attitude:
  Represent a positive attitude toward the merchandise and the company.
• Inventory participation:
  Participate in all inventories.
• Additional duties:
  Assume and complete other duties as assigned by store management.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience:
  
  Previous retail or stockroom experience preferred.
• Team player:
  Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Flexible schedule:
  Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Ability to perform heavy lifting in excess of 30 pounds and stand for a minimum of eight hours during scheduled shifts. Must walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, and balance frequently.
