Role Overview

Assistant Store Manager for Stor Quest Self Storage.

Responsibilities
  • Assist guests during challenging times and provide exceptional experiences.
  • Act as the first‑line representative for customers in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Maintain daily operations: revenue and delinquency management, occupancy, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Manage the rental process: convert sales, take payments, sell merchandise, offer insurance, assist with truck rentals, collect past‑due accounts, and guide customers through the journey.
  • Perform operational activities: daily store inspections (including lock checks), facility maintenance, custodial duties, vendor coordination, cash handling, receipt balancing, posting payments, processing bank deposits, and postal services.
Qualifications
  • 1+ year of customer service or sales experience.
  • Tech‑savvy and proficient with point‑of‑sale/management systems.
  • Experience in cash handling and financial transactions.
  • Available on weekends and able to work evenings when needed.
  • Strong passion for guest service, sales, and team collaboration.
  • Positive, outgoing personality with an insatiable appetite for learning.
  • Strong accountability and work ethic combined with enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • Experience in retail or service industry preferred.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Walk, bend, stand, and stoop frequently.
  • Lift up to 35 lbs, push up to 50 lbs, and lift items above head.
  • Work evenings and weekends as required.
  • Operate tools and maintenance equipment with manual dexterity.
  • Communicate written and verbal effectively.
