Advocates of guest experience who welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations by focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. Advocates of both in-store and digital services and solutions who are knowledgeable about capabilities and features that drive adoption and guest loyalty. Empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the checklanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.

• Communicating and interacting with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blending problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns

• Promoting and engaging around various benefits, offerings and services

As a Guest Advocate, no two days are ever the same, but a typical day will most likely include the following responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
• Engage with guests to understand and solve their needs
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to solve issues and improve guest experience
• Thank guests and acknowledge their choice to shop at Target
• Know and discuss the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed
• Scan and bag items efficiently and accurately in compliance with safety standards
• Work efficiently to minimize wait times while maintaining service and accuracy
• Explain how to use Target App features, including Wallet
• Understand Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, online ordering, and guide guests to enroll and use these features
• Process returns following store policy and escalate to leaders as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; manage unpurchased items, baskets, and hangers
• Stock supplies during store hours while remaining available to assist guests
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; work safely and report hazards
• Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders and associated returns, complying with applicable laws
• All other duties based on business needs

• You thrive in a fast-moving, active role requiring teamwork, flexibility and problem solving
• You are open to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times

Skill and Training
:

• Ability to educate guests about products and services
• Ability to operate devices and scanners and use technology as directed
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

• Accurately handle checkout operations and support cash office tasks as needed
• Scan, handle and move merchandise safely, with occasional lifting up to 44 pounds
• Flexible schedule (nights, weekends, holidays); reliable attendance required
• Be mobile for the duration of a shift
• Work in varying temperatures and environments while performing duties such as Drive-Up and carryout
