OSI Optoelectronics is currently seeking a Product Line Manager. This individual will have three primary responsibilities within the Product & Technology Development team including assessing market demand and identifying market demand and contributing to the product roadmap, managing the standard product portfolio, and promoting the OSIO/OSIE technology, products, and capabilities across all markets.
ResponsibilitiesProduct Portfolio Management:
- Own all standard product portfolio activities: lifecycle management (rationalization, enhancement, EOL), competitive pricing, revenue growth, and margin expansion in collaboration with business leads.
- Maintain forward-looking portfolio roadmaps to assist with investment prioritization decisions.
- Align portfolio actions with market demand, competitiveness, manufacturability, and profitability; create business cases for new additions or obsolescence.
- Contribute to new standard catalog products (specs, test/assembly procedures, vendor qualification) to strengthen standard offerings.
- Manage and monitor our portfolio offering on distribution channels such as Digikey and Mouser, focusing on sales trends, competitiveness, and competitive pricing by positioning products through reclassification, price adjustments, inventory adjustments, and enhancing collateral to increase revenue.
Strategic Roadmap Support (Input):
- Provide structured feedback on product and technology roadmaps based on market demand, mitigate risk with evidence, and monitor value after launch.
- Convert market demand, voice of the customer, win/loss, and competitive intelligence into MRD/PRD inputs; partner with Sales/BD to qualify opportunities and shape solution scope.
- Identify emerging opportunities across Aerospace & Defense, Medical, and Industrial segments; translate insights into portfolio and roadmap moves.
- Coordinate cross-functionally (Engineering, Ops, QA/RA, AE) to ensure on-time, on-spec program delivery using milestone-based tracking.
Technical Marketing & Promotion:
- Lead technical marketing for the portfolio and company capabilities: presentations, white papers, datasheets, application notes, and web content (in partnership with Mar Com).
- Drive new product launch readiness and external promotion (webinars, conference talks, industry events, social media), promote OSI’s capabilities and technology leadership.
- Continuously update the website and industries on company news, products, and industry developments.

- Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. Ensure that direct report(s) are trained and evaluated on their knowledge and adherence to the company’s values, Code of Ethics and Conduct, and applicable compliance policies.
