Overview

CNC Set-Up Technician

We are a growing manufacturing company seeking a skilled CNC Set-Up Technician. This is a full-time position with opportunities for advancement. Paid time off and benefits are offered after a probation period.

• Machine Setup & Operation (Required):
  Set up CNC machines according to job specifications; load and align fixtures, tools, and raw materials; calibrate machines for accurate cutting, drilling, and milling; interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders; ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently.

• Quality & Inspection (Required):
  Measure and inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges; adjust machine settings to meet tolerances and specifications; identify and troubleshoot machine or material issues; maintain accurate setup and production records.

• Maintenance & Safety (Required):
  Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment; keep work area clean and organized; follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements; report equipment malfunctions to supervisors.

• Preferred Additional Experience (2 or more):
  Programming or modifying CNC machine programs; experience with multiple types of CNC machines (lathe, mill, router); familiarity with G-code, M-code, and CAD/CAM software; lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred

• 1–3 years of CNC machine setup experience

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods

• Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
