Position: Mold Operator I - 2nd Shift

Overview

Eaton’s IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Mold Operator I - 2nd Shift. The hourly rate for this position is $18.50 per hour. The hours for this shift are 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You’ll Do

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Mold Operator role will set up equipment, prepares compounds and processes a variety of assemblies, such as standard connectors and special connectors following written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain the operation of all molding presses within the molding department.
  • Set up equipment to meet product standards for identification.
  • Perform all quality, inspection operations and routing systems as stated on the Work Order.
  • Perform all packaging operations including bagging and boxing.
  • Box and bag production, track quantities boxed, follow intermediate drawings and procedures.
  • Read blueprints, use measuring tools, and perform required quality functions per Work Orders.
  • Perform work with limited to no supervision.
  • Support cross training and other departments.
  • Rework and/or repair assembled parts and products according to engineering specification changes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, illustrations, and specifications to determine layouts, sequences of operations, and follow procedures.
  • Work in a safe manner and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe work environment. Assure proper maintenance of a safe and clean work area.
  • Stage materials for shipment as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 1-3 years with Manufacturing Environment experience
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Detailed knowledge of Aerospace product, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in aerospace products and applications.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written
  • Ability to read, follow and understand verbal instruction, product/ process specifications, drawings, and work orders.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in related mechanical manufacturing assembly operations
  • Ability to use calculators.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. and handle components and assemblies using bending, reaching, and twisting body movements; in addition to use of hand tools.
  • Ability to recognize and inform supervision of assembly problems and equipment breakdown.
  • Good manual dexterity to assemble small and intricate parts.
  • Soldering experience
