Progressive Equine is a 3 doctor ambulatory practice in beautiful Southern California. We are dedicated to providing top-quality care to horses in Ventura and LA County. With a focus on equine sports medicine and rehabilitation, we are committed to delivering exceptional services and expertise to our clients. Our team is passionate about horses and we take pride in offering a friendly and supportive work environment.

An important aspect of our practice is the culture of sustainability we strive to maintain in our daily lives. Veterinary medicine can be demanding and as a practice, we share that load with one another. We encourage time off, vacation and extracurricular activities. Time with family and friends is highly important to our team. Mentorship and guidance is provided in this practice as well.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Equine Ambulatory Veterinarian to join our team. Responsibilities will include diagnosing and treating equine health issues, conducting routine check-ups, and offering expert advice to horse owners. This role offers the opportunity to work with a wide variety of equine patients and be a vital part of their well-being.

Full time or part time available with flexible schedule.

• Conduct thorough examinations, diagnostics, and medical procedures on equine patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of equine health conditions, including lameness, colic, respiratory issues, and more.
• Administer vaccinations, perform dental care, and provide routine preventive care.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and implement customized treatment plans.
• Provide emergency veterinary services when required.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
• Educate clients on horse health and wellness, offering guidance on nutrition, exercise, and preventative care.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
• State license to practice veterinary medicine in CA
• Strong passion for equine health and well-being.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Internship preferred but not required for the right candidate.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
