PC Depot Tech-Asset Management

Our client is hiring an IT Asset Inventory Technician.

• Maintain hardware/software lifecycle, coordinating and scheduling asset shipping for all sites, and maintaining software asset management tools including accurate inventory of software.
• Obtain software vendor quotes.
• Identify savings opportunities through software re-harvesting and license optimization.
• Perform data loads of new hardware assets and consumables in Service Now.
• Process and ensure the accuracy of damage and defective returns.
• Ensure standards, guidelines and controls are maintained.
• Track progress and follow-up of issues and assist with troubleshooting and resolution of technical problems.
• Manage Adobe suite software licensing.
• Manage and resolve escalations.
• Manage projects (fulfilling, shipping, and documenting).
• Coordinate and schedule asset disposal pick up.
• Perform imaging and device configuration for deployment.
• Develop and manage asset lifecycle tracking and planning processes and capabilities.
• Maintain accurate Asset Repository/CMDB for all Software and Hardware assets.

• Physical asset management experience in an IT department or Technology Depot.
• Service Now experience mandatory.
• Service Now HAM Pro (Hardware Asset Manager component) – HUGH bonus.
• Experience loading/unloading IT assets from a warehouse or depot type facility.
• Experience tagging assets… labeling.
• Must be able to show up to work on time.
• Some PC reimaging experience.
• Customer Service is an essential skill. Users have a varying understanding of technology which requires strong patience and interpersonal skills.
• Full Medicals required.

Contract position based out of Calverton, MD. This role is fully onsite.

$20.00 – $28.00/hr.
