Mountain Bike Repair Technician

Be a part of something special and join our team! Mountain High is searching for customer service oriented, Rental Bike Repair Tech. This position is just right for someone who loves mountain biking and working on bikes, while providing a great experience for our guests.

Essential Job Duties include but, are not limited to the following:

• Perform routine maintenance, including safety checks, adjustments and repairs on fleet, including, fixing flats, adjusting brakes, gears and other mechanical components
• Build or assemble new equipment
• Assist guests with the rental process, explaining how to operate the bikes and safety procedures
• Keep track of bike inventory and maintain all paperwork related to rentals and returns
• Accurately document bike maintenance and repairs
• Order necessary parts with manager approval and keep shop stocked
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace and ensure fleet is clean and ready for use
• Comply with all industry procedures and regulations
• Able to conduct post-accident equipment inspections as requested
• Complete weekly safety meetings as required
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications should include the following:

• 2+ years of bike mechanic experience
• Certification in Bike Repair is a plus
• Working knowledge of products and basic understanding of practices and procedures relative to bike equipment
• Excellent customer service experience and knowledge to explain equipment and safety procedures to guests
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain service logs and rental paperwork
• Must be over 21 and have a valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record

Wage Range: $18.50 - $20.50
