We are building the next generation of mobile at Box as an AI-first platform. As a Mobile Engineer at Box, you’ll help create powerful, intuitive enterprise apps that enable seamless productivity on the go. Our apps empower millions of Box customers to manage content and collaborate with their teams from anywhere.

As a Staff Engineer, you will guide our mobile technologies and roadmap, enable Box’s mobile engineers to build more easily and effectively, accelerate feature delivery, reduce maintenance overhead, collaborate with other architects across Box, and spearhead the next generation of mobile at Box.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Lead the technical roadmap definition and execution for Box to build and maintain high-quality mobile applications.
  • Architect performant, modular codebases that scale across users and platforms.
  • Advocate for best practices in mobile development, testing, and continuous delivery.
  • Share knowledge and support the growth of teammates through code reviews, pairing, or mentoring and help shape an AI-powered product mindset.
  • Learn and grow alongside us; participate in mentoring relationships and explore architectural advancements in UX across mobile platforms.
  • Participate in our on-call rotation and respond to issues that arise.
WHO YOU ARE

Required skills:

  • You have 8+ years of professional experience building and launching iOS/Android applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile design patterns, app architecture, and testing strategies.
  • Knowledge of the App Store submission process and app lifecycle management.
  • Pride in crafting reliable apps that prioritize observability and reusability.
  • Commitment to creating intuitive, user-centric mobile experiences powered by context and intelligence.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates local or remote.

Preferred skills:

  • Experience collaborating with AI, ML, or data teams.
  • Experience integrating or maintaining React Native modules within native iOS/Android applications, bridging native Swift/Objective-C with React Native.

Pay

United States Pay Range: $231,000 — $288,500 USD.
