What You’ll Do:As a Senior Appliance Mechanic, you will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on government-furnished food preparation and serving equipment, utilizing your mechanical skills and troubleshooting expertise.
Responsibilities include:- Install, service, and repair commercial kitchen equipment and appliances
- Test and diagnose appliances using meters (wattmeter, ammeter, voltmeter)
- Mentor and train other technicians; maintain proper records and safety standards
- Attend scheduled shifts punctually
- Perform additional duties as required based on business needs
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- At least 7 years in commercial appliance repair
- 1-2 years formal training from CFESA or an accredited vocational program
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification
- Sanitation certification
- Certified Appliance Professional (CAP) or equivalent
