Master Plumber

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Master Plumber to join our team. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for overseeing plumbing installations, maintenance, and repairs for both residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of plumbing systems, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys mentoring others in a team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plumbing Installation & Repair:

• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, fixtures, water heaters, pumps, and other plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan plumbing layouts.
• Ensure all work meets local plumbing codes and standards.

Project Oversight:

• Use of Own Equipment - Contractor will provide and utilize their own machinery and tools, including backhoe, patching equipment, and safety gear.
• Excavation and Backhoe Services - Digging and trenching using backhoe equipment for pipe access, foundations, or site preparation.
• Burst Pipe Repair and Patching - Locating and repairing damaged or burst pipes, including necessary site restoration.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
• Concrete Patching - Removal of damaged concrete and installation of new patch material to restore surface integrity.
• Verify materials and equipment are available and properly maintained.

Troubleshooting & Maintenance:

• Diagnose and repair leaks, clogs, low water pressure, and other plumbing issues.
• Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and costly repairs.
• Recommend system upgrades or replacements when appropriate.

Safety & Compliance:

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies, including proper use of PPE and job site safety protocols.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
• Complete all required documentation, reports, and service records accurately.

Customer Service & Teamwork:

• Communicate effectively and professionally with clients and coworkers.
• Provide clear explanations of work performed and any recommendations for future service.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative work environment.

Job Requirements

Licensing:
Journeyman Plumber

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional plumbing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.

Technical

Skills:

Strong understanding of plumbing systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.

Attention to Detail:
Ability to perform precise installations and identify potential issues early.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 75 lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Hours:

As needed basis
Pay Range: $40.00 - $85.00 per hour, depending on experience and licensing level
