Job Description

• Primary first responder to all medical emergencies for guest and employee injuries and illnesses.
• Oversee and control incidents, handle evidence, review other officer reports for accuracy.
• Assist the Security Shift Supervisor in coordinating evacuations and responses to bomb threats, fire, flood, earthquake, hazmat, and other catastrophes.
• Deliver training modules in the absence of the Security Training Coordinator.
• Provide superior customer service and interact positively with guests and employees, including handling difficult situations with resilience.

Our Ideal Candidate

• High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of direct guest‑contact experience.
• Excellent customer and employee relations skills.
• Valid driver’s license with no suspensions, DUI, or more than two moving‑vehicle violations in the past three years.
• Current San Diego County EMT Certification and First Responder certification through the National Safety Council.
• Ability to work any day of the week and any shift; work independently and as part of a team.
• Well‑groomed appearance and ability to complete the Security Service Officer Documentation Assessment.

A Few More Things

• Must be able to work and stand inside and outside, sometimes in heat >115°F or cold as low as 10°F.
• Must physically restrain adults weighing over 200 pounds.
• Must remain calm and responsive in crisis and stressful situations.
• Must perform stoops, bends, jumps, twists, crouches, grips, carry heavy loads, and maneuver quickly on level surfaces, stairs, and uneven terrain.
• Must lift and carry up to 60 pounds and push or pull up to 150 pounds.
• Must provide court testimony when necessary and write detailed reports.
• Must read, write, speak, and understand English; tolerate secondhand smoke, high noise, bright lights, and dust.

Pay: $21.25 an hour
