As a Security Officer – Residential Access Control in Trabuco Canyon, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a residential community setting, you will monitor entry points and patrol assigned areas to help deter security‑related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll interact with residents and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while remaining visible and approachable.

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site‑specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

• Monitor access points and verify credentials of residents, guests, and vendors entering the residential community.
• Provide customer service by assisting residents and visitors with inquiries and site‑specific procedures.
• Help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity through controlled access procedures and security‑related presence.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct both regular and random patrols of the property and perimeter to help maintain a security‑related presence.
• Document and report any security‑related incidents, maintenance issues, or unusual activities as required by site policy.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site representatives to address concerns or security‑related needs within the residential location.

• Must have at least 1 year of security‑related experience.
• Must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED, as required by the client.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to work at locations with limited on‑site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
