Position SummaryThe Sales Support Specialist position will support our growing sales team and enhance customer service. This role addresses immediate needs in handling incoming inquiries, facilitating the estimating process, and providing critical support to our Components Department. Key Responsibilities- Answer and manage incoming sales calls professionally and promptly, gathering essential customer information to support the sales team.
- Collect and organize details from prospects and customers to assist sales representatives in preparing accurate estimates and proposals.
- Help distribute incoming calls and leads evenly across the sales team to ensure balanced workload and timely responses.
- Support the Components Sales Representative by assisting in the preparation of quotes for component requests.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales department, such as maintaining records, following up on inquiries, and ensuring smooth handoffs to sales reps.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing basic questions, escalating complex issues as needed, and contributing to positive customer experiences.
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to streamline processes, reduce bottlenecks, and support overall team performance and growth.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, sales, or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service, sales support, administrative roles, or inside sales preferred (1–2 years ideal, but entry‑level candidates with strong potential will be considered).
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for gathering information, preparing quotes, and managing multiple tasks.
- Proficiency with standard office tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, CRM systems or similar software; training provided as needed).
- Ability to learn product knowledge quickly and work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
