Join The Guitar Center Company as a Sr. Director, Merchandising and lead a high‑performing team of Category Managers and Assistant Category Managers, collaborating cross‑functionally with Inventory Management, Marketing and Visual Design to drive category strategy across all brands and channels (Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, M123).

• Develop category‑specific in‑store and online merchandising plans, including pricing, promotion and product marketing.
• Build deeply integrated strategic relationships with the vendor community.
• Meet with key internal stakeholders to review prior performance and plan upcoming merchandising initiatives.
• Maximize in‑store layout for new and existing stores through SKU‑specific planogramming.
• Conduct store visits, locally and remotely, to perform in‑store reviews, planogram resets and assemble new merchandising fixtures.
• Oversee all category‑specific in‑store and online marketing and promotional support.
• Review business performance to make necessary assortment updates.
• Plan short‑ and long‑term business objectives.
• Represent the company when handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s Degree (or 4 years of equivalent work experience), preferably in Business.

US $215,000 – $250,000 annually (depending on background and experience), plus eligibility for the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on company performance. Pay ranges may vary by location and are provided in compliance with state laws.
