Location: Woodland Hills
The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation (TIBI) is seeking a meticulous and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our Biomedical Research Laboratory. As a Laboratory Technician, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our cutting-edge research initiatives and contributing to advancements in biomedical science.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Trained to perform cutting-edge 3D culture, organ-on-a-chip, and animal experiments.
- Collaborate with researchers and scientists to conduct laboratory experiments and procedures.
- Maintain, calibrate, and operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
- Assist with sample collection, processing, and analysis following established protocols.
- Accurately document experiments, record results, and maintain detailed notes.
- Prepare solutions, reagents, and culture media as required.
- Ensure a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a safe workspace.
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Prior experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within a research environment.
- Familiarity with fundamental laboratory techniques, equipment, and protocols.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Repetitive movement of hands and fingers-typing and/or writing
- Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading
