Quality Assurance Manager Security Clearance

Overview

Akima Logistics Services (ALS) is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager in Edwards, California.

• Manage quality assurance activities. Implement, monitor, and interpret testing to verify quality or compliance of products or production processes, and suggest modifications to prevent defects in components or final products. Manage, install, and validate testing equipment or procedures.
• Analyze test results and interpret data to produce reports detailing quality-related trends. Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the field s concepts and principles.
• Lead and direct the work of other employees and exercise full authority for personnel decisions. Supervision may be provided through a team of subordinate supervisors and/or managers.
• Administer departmental policies and procedures, evaluate results and performance, and assist with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
• Develop and implement program quality plans, programs, and procedures using quality control (QC) statistics and tools/analyses. Ensure that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
• Monitor, review, analyze, and report on quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Direct investigations of problems and develop disposition and corrective actions for recurring discrepancies.
• Oversee and interface with manufacturing, engineering, customer, vendor, and subcontractor representatives to ensure requirements are met. Monitor recommendations for corrective actions, dispositions, and modifications.
• Responsible for all KC-46 Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) programs. Report to the KC-46 Site Program Manager to implement and enforce the KC-46 QA Manual (QAM), supervise all KC-46 QC/ES&H employees, ensure inspections and audits are accomplished, documented, and reported in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS) and QAM.
• Perform trend analyses, monitor and evaluate training programs, ensure timely and effective response to Customer QAE contract surveillance reports, monitor effectiveness of KC-46 ES&H programs, and ensure adequacy and timeliness of modification and configuration change proposals.
• Administer the KC-46 Material Deficiency Reporting program and ensure dissemination of quality-related information.

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required for consideration.
• A minimum of 15 years aircraft maintenance experience and 5 years' experience as a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Inspector.
