THE WORK

The Lockheed Martin Space Remote Sensing Ground (RSG) team seeks a Software Engineer with an active TS clearance to join our team in King of Prussia, PA;
Sunnyvale, CA; or Littleton, CO. This is an Emerging Professional (level
2) role where candidates typically require 1+ years of professional experience. The RSG organization executes contracts and research efforts to design, develop, and deploy complex computer vision and AI/ML software applications, developing state-of-the-art processing applications to deliver timely, actionable intelligence to our war fighting partners around the globe. You will collaborate with a high-performing, multi-discipline team throughout the software development lifecycle, contributing to design, development, and rapid delivery of operational software solutions at the cutting edge of machine learning and data analytics at scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain high-performance C++ back-end services that ingest, process, and deliver large volumes of imagery data.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate image-processing libraries, ensuring robust API design, low latency, and scalability across multi-core and GPU-accelerated environments.
• Write unit and integration tests, perform code reviews, and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks to uphold code quality, security standards, and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with C++ programming language
• Ability to work independently and in a team, take initiative, and communicate effectively
• Active Top Secret Clearance (must be a US citizen) with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance

Desired skills

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Python experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Tensor Flow/PyTorch experience

Security and work arrangements:
This position requires a government security clearance and the candidate must be a US citizen. Onsite full-time work at a Lockheed Martin facility. Telework is not available.

Shift: First.

Work Schedule:

9x80 every other Friday off. Lockheed Martin supports alternate work schedules. The following classifications apply:
