Pay And BenefitsHourly Pay Range: $21.910596 - $27.440207
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.
A temporary status or seasonal status position receives EAP benefits only. Employees will accrue one (1) hour of sick leave for every thirty (30) hours worked with a maximum accrual of eighty (80) hours per year.

We are looking to hire up to 7 hardworking and motivated individuals as Seasonal Lead Park Assistants to provide a variety of services in order to protect, maintain, operate and repair County parks lands, natural areas, campgrounds and day use areas, as well as provide excellent customer service and be a positive presence throughout the parks. If selected as a Seasonal Lead Park Assistant, in addition to carrying out park operations work, you may also work in coordination with Park Rangers to communicate and guide implementation of park standards by Seasonal Park Assistants for customer service, cleanliness, and safety.
This work is on a temporary basis for the summer season with most positions ending at the end of September.
Due to the nature of the position, punctuality and attendance are critical to the success of the team and the department. Additionally, it is critical to be committed to working through the entire duration of the season.
RequiredMinimum Qualifications /Transferrable Skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire
- A minimum of three (3) months of related experience that would provide the required knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position
- Supervisory or lead work experience
- Customer service experience
- Prior Park & Recreation experience
- Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
- Basic computer and software skills
- Bookkeeping experience
- Basic carpentry, plumbing, landscaping and small equipment maintenance skill

- Ability to work nights, evenings, and weekends

- Driving is required for County business on a regular basis or to accomplish work. Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record throughout employment.
