About EarthscapesEarthscapes is a well-established landscape company, which has been serving the Central Coast for over 35 years. We are looking to fill a part-time position in our landscape maintenance department.
We are looking for someone who has a positive attitude and is self‑motivated, knowledgeable, hardworking, honest and dependable with good communication skills.
Ideal Applicant Qualifications- Must have plant and horticultural knowledge.
- Minimum 3 years landscape maintenance experience and supervisory experience is helpful.
- Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record.
- The ability to drive a utility bed truck, and towing a trailer is a plus.
- The ability to read, write and speak English, bilingual is a plus.
We are looking for a Landscape Maintenance Specialist to work on a team or individually providing high-quality maintenance services for our clients. We perform our tasks from a horticultural perspective, and we are looking for the right individual to join our team who can offer their current knowledge and skills, or we will train the right individual. Our broad knowledge base and horticultural skills are what set us apart from the average landscape maintenance service.
We practice IPM (Integrated Pest Management) whenever possible and use organic pesticides and fertilizers to keep our landscapes healthy and beautiful.
- Knowledge of plant material and their proper maintenance, which includes pruning trees and shrubs, deadheading flowers, cutting back perennials, trimming hedges, grooming succulents, mowing a few lawns, and fertilizing plants as needed.
- Diagnosing disease and pest problems and offering appropriate solutions.
- Proficient use of battery-powered landscape equipment and tools, including hedge trimmers, string trimmers, chainsaws, lawn mowers, and blowers.
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and ability to make minor repairs and installations, and the ability to program and operate irrigation controllers.
- The ability to keep accurate records of time and work completed.
We work an 8 hour per day schedule from 8:30am – 5:00pm, 2 days per week.
Compensation- Competitive pay starting at $25‑30/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Paid time off and paid sick leave benefits are available after 90 days of employment.
