We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) specializing in General Surgery for a long-term locum tenens opportunity. This is a chance to join a well-established healthcare team located in a beautiful, serene region of Northern California near Redway, CA. Key Details:
Position:
Locum Tenens (General Surgery PA/NP)
Start Date:
February 2025 (with some flexibility for credentialing) End Date:
Ongoing, long-term coverage
Work Schedule:
160 hours per month (days and hours may vary, typically including 8 hours per week in clinic)
Location:
Northern California (near Redway, CA) Responsibilities:
Provide surgical assistance and patient care within the general surgery department. The role does not require supervising advanced practice providers. Collaborate with a dedicated team of medical professionals. Work in an inpatient setting with patients ranging from 8 to 16 per shift. Participate in clinical rounds and daily patient management as required. Requirements:
Board Certification:
Required for specialty (must be certified in General Surgery) Licensing:
Must hold a valid license in California.
Certifications:
ACLS and BLS required. ATLS is not required for this position.
Experience:
Surgical assisting experience is preferred. EMR System:
Epic Hospital Privileges:
No privileges required; temporary privileges are not available. Trauma Level: Level 3 Stroke Certification:
Yes Travel & Accommodations:
Travel expenses and lodging will be provided for the duration of the assignment. Nearest airport information will be provided upon inquiry. Additional Information:
No resident or teaching supervision required. This opportunity does not require call or after-hours availability. Temporary privileging may take up to 30 days.
