American Traveler is hiring an Acute Care Charge Nurse (RN) with current CA licensure, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and strong leadership experience for a day shift role.

Responsibilities

• Work in an acute care hospital setting with responsibilities across emergency, med-surg adult, and backup support to the Emergency Department

• Day shift schedule

• Position includes supervising staff and overseeing department operations

• Assignment length is 13 weeks

• Responsible for staff supervision, assignment of duties, and daily department operations

• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

• Will collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality care

• Handles backup support for the Emergency Department as needed

• RTO is not approved unless specified in the offer

Requirements

• Current, active CA RN license

• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS

• Minimum of three years nursing experience

• At least one year of leadership experience

• Ability to understand and communicate medical instructions

• Typing skills and general computer experience

• Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational abilities
