Role Details and Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive oncology nursing care across treatment modalities, including assessment, administration of chemotherapy and supportive medications, monitoring for adverse effects, tumor- and treatment-related symptom management, patient and family education, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
- Implement evidence‑based protocols, ensure patient safety, manage complex symptom clusters, perform precise line care and toxicity surveillance, and document care plans that align with best practices and patient goals.
- Demonstrate leadership in pre‑ and post‑procedure care, triage urgent issues, and advocate for individualized care plans that honor patient preferences and values.
- Engage in professional growth opportunities to deepen oncology expertise (e.g., hematologic malignancies, palliative care integration, survivorship) through mentorship, continuing education, and exposure to diverse therapies.
