Obstetrics, Healthcare Nursing
Location: Templeton
Step into a pivotal role as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, where your expertise will guide families through some of life’s most meaningful moments. In Templeton, California, a charming enclave on California’s central coast surrounded by rolling vineyards, coastal breezes, and a culture of care, you’ll join a dynamic team that values precision, compassion, and the art of warm, patient‑centered delivery.
This opportunity starts February 2, 2026, for a several‑week assignment designed to test your clinical finesse while offering you avenues for professional growth, mentorship, and real impact. Imagine partnering with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia teams, and NICU staff to ensure safe, compassionate care from admission through postpartum recovery, and you’ll understand why this role is more than a job — it’s a mission.
Templeton’s unique location blends rural serenity with access to California’s awe‑inspiring landscapes. You’ll be minutes from the stunning coastline and easy day trips to the Pacific, hiking trails, and the rolling wine country of Paso Robles. Living here affords a balanced lifestyle where family time, learning opportunities, and professional excellence coexist. The region’s community‑oriented spirit mirrors the values of our program: respect for diverse families, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to evidence‑based practice.
For nurses drawn to opportunity and variety, this assignment may also open doors to placements across the U.S., letting you experience different hospital cultures, patient populations, and clinical protocols while maintaining the same high standards of care you bring to every shift.
In this role, you’ll manage comprehensive L&D responsibilities: fetal monitoring, labor support, assisted deliveries, cesarean sections, postpartum stabilization, and neonatal transition care. You’ll coordinate care with obstetricians, nurse midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatric teams to develop individualized care plans. You’ll educate families about labor options, pain management, newborn care, and breastfeeding—turning clinical moments into empowering experiences for new parents. Rely on your critical thinking to anticipate complications, perform rapid assessments, and respond decisively.
Your hands‑on leadership extends to mentoring less‑experienced staff, modeling best practices in safety, documentation, and patient advocacy. The position also offers ongoing professional development: opportunities to expand certifications, refine skills in electronic fetal monitoring interpretation, simulation‑based training, and care pathways for high‑risk obstetric populations.
Compensation is designed to attract top talent. Expect competitive weekly pay in the range of $2,554 to $2,739, with a structured path toward extended assignments should you choose to continue beyond the initial period. While guaranteed hours are not set for this travel assignment, you’ll benefit from a robust support network designed to protect your interests and ensure you’re never navigating a new environment alone.
We provide a comprehensive travel concierge, housing assistance, and access to housing stipends or seamless accommodation options, so you can focus on patient care without the hassles of relocation logistics. In addition, a discretionary bonus and extension opportunities are part of the program, reflecting our commitment to recognizing performance, reliability, and the mutual success of our clinicians and the facilities we serve.
You’ll also have 24/7 support from a dedicated travel team, available to assist with scheduling, travel arrangements, credentialing nuances, and any on‑the‑job questions that arise during your assignment.
Our organization is grounded in empowering staff to grow, advance, and lead within a supportive environment. We believe in transparent communication, collaborative decision‑making, and the professional development of every nurse who joins our family. You’ll benefit from mentorship, peer support, and continuous learning opportunities that emphasize evidence‑based practice, patient safety, and compassionate care. The core values center on integrity,…
