The Wyoming Retirement Center is a long‑term care facility seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to provide excellent healthcare services to patients with mental health, dementia, and medical needs in a home‑like setting. We aim to stabilize and help residents attain their highest functional level. New graduates are encouraged to apply!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Provides professional nursing services in chronic as well as acute care settings.
- Performs nursing assessment, diagnosis, treatment & evaluation of ill and disabled persons.
- Accurately prepares and administers medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
- Assists with ADL (Activities of Daily Living).
- Trains and assigns work to LPNs and CNAs.
- Knowledge of laws, principles, practices, techniques of professional nursing, and Standards of Nursing Practice.
- Knowledge of the maintenance of medical records, charts, reports, and observations.
- Knowledge of medication administration and mathematical calculations for the correct dosage.
- Knowledge of the aging process, medical problems, diseases, and behavioral issues.
- Knowledge of work management and leadership theory and practice.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws pertaining to healthcare.
- Knowledge of the ability to function and make decisions in high‑stress situations.
- Knowledge of good oral and written communication skills to articulate thoughts and medical terminology.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree (typically in Nursing)
- Experience: 0–2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
- Education & Experience Substitution: 3–5 years of progressive work experience (typically in Nursing) with acquired knowledge at the level of an LPN
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Wyoming.
- Lift/transfer persons in our care to different positions.
- Lift persons and/or medical equipment of varying sizes and weights up to about fifty (50) lbs.
- Work holidays, evenings, nights, and/or weekends as scheduled.
- FLSA:
Non-Exempt. - The position is full‑time.
- Annual influenza vaccination and annual testing for tuberculosis are required for the health and protection of the persons in our care.
- Employees must follow all rules and requirements established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regarding COVID‑19.
- Background checks, including fingerprints, will be conducted through the Wyoming Department of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation for every successful applicant.
- Pre‑employment drug testing will be conducted on safety‑sensitive positions. Drug and alcohol testing will be conducted on any position if reasonable suspicion exists.

- Employees will only be eligible for (1) hiring bonus in a 12‑month period.
