The Pharmacy Technician role provides an opportunity to work in a leading retail pharmacy and positively impact the lives and health of others. You will work in an environment with high professional and ethical standards and full compliance with all federal, state and local laws. Technicians take steps to ensure medication needs and regulatory compliance are met while maintaining patient confidentiality.
Success in this role includes managing all assigned pharmacy workstations and tasks to support the team in promptly, safely and accurately filling prescriptions while delivering caring service that exceeds customer expectations. As a new Pharmacy Technician, you will complete an extensive CVS Pharmacy Technician Training Program and satisfy all registration, licensing and certification requirements per your State’s Board of Pharmacy guidelines. Duties may be restricted initially until requirements are met. Once requirements are satisfied, you can expand duties and build clinical, technical and insurance knowledge through available tools and training.

Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Licensure requirements vary by state
- Attention and Focus — ability to concentrate on a task over time without distraction
- Customer Service Orientation — actively help people in a friendly manner and respond appropriately to reactions
- Communication Skills — verbal and written interaction with customers and colleagues; active listening
- Mathematical Reasoning — ability to use math to solve problems (e.g., calculating day’s supply)
- Problem Resolution — recognize when something is wrong and determine best course of action in complex situations
Physical Demands
- Remain upright for sustained periods; move about on foot to different areas
- Finger dexterity for picking, pinching, typing; extend hands and arms as needed
- Bend, stoop and lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently
- Communicate clearly; perceive sounds and details; close visual acuity for reading and computer work
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical or customer service setting
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- PTCB National Certification
