Overview
SAIC's Naval Business Unit provides Program Management support to the Combat Integration & Identification Systems (CI&IDS) Division at Webster's Outlying Field which develops, delivers, and sustains communication electronics and combat systems to the Warfighter. This support includes project and financial management, resource planning, budgeting, organizational management, and post-award contract support.
We are seeking a results-driven Business Operations Specialist to analyze and coordinate project schedules. Lead and execute the work in this functional area for designated project leads and interact collaboratively with project GPLs and IPT technical delivery leads to provide schedule planning, developing, updating and analyzing integrated master schedules. To coordinate and complete all project processes with project scheduling from requirements through delivery.
This includes supporting and/or leading Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities, producing detailed reports. Duties to include tailoring standard tools to best support project scheduling and reporting. The journeyman level position requires direct interaction with customers and applying leadership skills for decision-making and solving scheduling issues.
This position will be located in the Patuxent River, MD general region and requires onsite support weekly. Local candidates are encouraged to apply.
ResponsibilitiesThe role supports project scheduling activities from requirements through delivery, including:
- Analyze and coordinate project schedules and provide schedule planning, development, updating and analysis of integrated master schedules
- Coordinate and complete project processes with project scheduling from requirements through delivery
- Support and/or lead Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities and produce detailed reports
- Tailor standard tools to best support project scheduling and reporting
- Interact with project GPLs and IPT technical delivery leads; apply leadership for decision-making and resolving scheduling issues
Required Education & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 3 years experience; degree can be substituted with 7 total years of experience.
- 2 years experience with project scheduling using Microsoft Project required.
- Experience scheduling, planning, executing, and monitoring acquisition projects is required.
- Experience leading scheduling efforts and being responsible for making decisions is required.
- Strong written and verbal skills is required.
- Experience with Navy acquisition and resource planning is highly desired.
Target salary range $80,001 - $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
