Location: Chatsworth, CA
Pay: Up to $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Position Overview
The Injection Molding Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and support systems to ensure efficient, high-quality production.
The ideal candidate is mechanically and electrically skilled, detail-oriented, and passionate about preventive maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molding presses, robotics, and auxiliary equipment (chillers, dryers, thermolators, loaders, grinders, etc.).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to minimize downtime.
- Support mold setup, tool changeovers, and machine readiness checks as needed.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new molding and automation equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO, OSHA, etc.).
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance reliability, efficiency, and process control.
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience maintaining injection molding equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled systems and sensors.
- Strong commitment to safety and preventive maintenance practices.
- Experience with molding equipment brands such as Engel, Husky, Nissei, or Arburg.
- Familiarity with process monitoring systems (e.g., RJG, IQMS).
- Welding, machining, or fabrication experience a plus.
- Certification in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or electrical systems preferred.
