Compensation starting at $23 per hour (without prior industry experience required)

Schedule:

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Overtime and weekend work as needed

We are seeking a dependable and mechanically inclined Plant Operator to support our wastewater treatment operations in Lakeside, CA. This is a hands‑on position working with treatment systems and mechanical equipment that help protect our water and communities.

What You’ll Do
  • Operate and maintain mechanical systems including pumps, valves, fans, heat exchangers, diesel and gas engines, and compressors
  • Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Conduct water quality testing and monitor treatment effectiveness
  • Complete daily logs, manifests, and compliance documentation accurately
  • Use tools such as rakes, shovels, hoses, pressure washers, cranes, and hoists
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations
  • Assist with troubleshooting and minor repairs
What We’re Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift 55+ lbs regularly
  • At least 1 year of experience in a labor‑intensive role (required)
  • 1 year of wastewater processing or plant operations experience (preferred)
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and safety protocols
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a stable company
