Maintenance Planner

FT Maintenance Planner – Indorama at Fontana, California

We are looking to immediately hire a full-time Maintenance Planner to join our team. Monday – Friday, pay 8am‑4:40pm. Salary ranges from $32–$33 per hour, depending on experience. Reports to the Plan Reliability Manager. We offer 4 alternative schedules: 4 days, 10 hours each.

This person must be highly organized, able to work in a self‑directed environment and direct others. Willing to spend time out on the production floor with mechanics and see issues/requests out on the floor. Must be computer proficient, have good writing and teamwork skills. This position reports to the Plant Reliability Maintenance Manager and is a key contributor to the overall success of the Maintenance team.

• Works closely with the Plant Reliability Maintenance Manager to develop and communicate relevant KPIs for the maintenance team: PM Compliance %, Overdue PMs, Schedule Adherence, % PM Executed.
• Creates purchase requisitions for planned work.
• Creates and closes work orders in a timely manner.
• Manages work orders using SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Updates equipment and preventative maintenance plans in SAP Plant Maintenance.
• Verifies availability of parts, materials, and special tools prior to scheduling.
• Obtains requisitions, orders, kits as appropriate and enters material needs on the work order.
• Assists Storeroom function in kitting and staging of job material requirements.
• Owns the plant work order system and scheduling process for PM, active work orders, capital and improvement projects.
• Assists in PM and standardized work writing as needed.
• Fully plans work orders, including internal operations, material purchases/requisitions, service purchases, labor purchases.
• Backups the Storeroom Clerk.
• Manages the CMMS database and data integrity.
• Provides ongoing transparency of spare parts inventory levels and ensures continuous inventory accuracy.
• Monitors equipment problems.
• Collaborates with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful campaign execution.

• BA in Mechanical Engineering or a minimum of 5 years equivalent experience.
• 3 years of CCMS software experience.
• 2–3 years in relevant maintenance planning role.
• Strong written and English verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. stoop, bend, descend stairs, ladders, and walk.
