Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Operations Engineer
SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Manager, the Maintenance Planners responsibilities include delivering every task on time within budget and scope. Maintenance Planner should have a background in production processes, project team management and coordination of activity amongst maintenance employees. The planning of the work is to ensure that when the work is scheduled it can be completed with the least interruption to operations and the most efficient use of maintenance resources.
This position combines the job functions of both a Planner and Supervisor and is a great entry point for candidates interested in long term career growth in an industrial environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of planned Maint.
- Ensure that all tasks or activities are delivered on time, within scope also performs risk management.
- Using CMMS manage the Preventative Maintenance plan to track progress of assignments.
- Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.
- Measure maintenance performance using CMMS and appropriate systems, tools, and techniques.
- Report info and escalate relevant issues to management when needed.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, ensures or plans training for maintenance personnel in relativity to plant operations and repair.
- Effectively plans work and coordinates maintenance repairs sourcing parts and materials associated with WO.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Plans and schedules workflow for each craft and operation according to engineering specifications.
- May prepare purchase orders to obtain materials, tools, and equipment.
- Complies with the code of conduct and standards set forth in the Employee Handbook.
- Displays appropriate work ethics in the workplace and group setting which provides a positive influence on co-workers.
- Primary areas will include preparing job plans and coordinating planned work schedules with production.
SKILLS, ABILITIES and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exceptional professionalism, communication, and interpersonal skills;
Strong accuracy and detail oriented; skilled in confidentiality and discretion; strong and effective organizational and time management skills; resourceful and proactive ficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook). Knowledge of MS Project, Sketchup and general blueprint interpretation. Bilingual Spanish is a plus. Proven working experience in a manufacturing setting with a hands-on approach is needed. Excellent vendor and internal communication skills. - To apply and adapt practices and techniques to special circumstances; to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, peers, management, superiors, consultants, and vendors; to take initiative and present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form; to ensure optimum performance of the function.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from four-year College or certificate program in a vocational or technical school, must possess a valid Driver’s license. Solid educational background preferably in the fields of preventative maintenance, development, or engineering in manufacturing processes with a working aptitude in a CMMS, Oracle, and associated reporting software.
